The Best Marshmallow Buttercream Frosting is a sweet and creamy marshmallow buttercream frosting that tastes just like the inside of a Hostess Ding Dong.
I am going to start this post with a warning. This is a VERY sweet frosting. If you like your frosting on the lighter side, this frosting is not for you. (You should try our Whipped Cream Frosting, which you can find here.) This is a gooey, marshmallowey, delicious frosting. I often use this recipe to fill cupcakes. The combination of this frosting with chocolate cupcakes is the best. The Best Marshmallow Buttercream Frosting is a sweet and creamy marshmallow buttercream frosting that tastes just like the inside of a Hostess Ding Dong.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 cups of Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter (We use Salted Sweet Cream Butter)
  • 1 Container of Marshmallow Creme (7 oz. size)
  • 2 teaspoons of Vanilla
  • Decorating Bags
  • Wilton 2D Decorating Tip
  • Food Scale
  • Mixer

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Mix together butter, marshmallow creme and vanilla.
  2. When completely mixed, add the powdered sugar to the bowl.
  3. Mix until the Marshmallow Buttercream Frosting is smooth.
